About Markus Marcetic Photography
Markus Marcetic is an experienced freelance photographer
working for Swedish and international press, companies and
NGO's. Markus has done extensive travelling focusing on
human rights issues and health issues. He's working both
with assignments, portraits and shorter news stories as well
as longer photojournalistic essays.
Markus is also an experienced picture editor working for daily
newspapers and he has also edited and curated a number of
photo books and exhibitions. Markus is also recurrent giving
lectures and workshops in photojournalism and photography.
Lately he's also been working with cinematography, and he has
much experience filming with DSLR cameras.
In 2002 he was one of the co-founders of Momentagency, a
collectively owned photojournalistic agency based in Sweden.

In 2004 and 2005 he was awarded prices in the Swedish picture
of the year contest.
In 2007 Markus published his book "Kids". This year he also took
part in the "One day in Latvia" -project.

In 2008 his project about HIV/AIDS in Zambia, "living positively"
was featured at the Visa pour l'image photojournalistic festival
in Perpignan, France.

In 2009, Markus was in the jury for the new photojournalistic
contest the PGB award.

In 2010 Markus joined forces with Swedish film production company
Inland Film, to write, direct and shoot the full length feature "Losers",
scheduled to be released fall 2011.
